Enterprise, AL

I'm in Enterprise Alabama now, its a great little town. It has a lot of military so we have a lot of western families! Its awesome to finally have some non greasy food and not worry about what i ate lol. but This week was a good week, Elder Delamare and i, we were invited to come to this lunch that one of our investigators had, his wife is Filipino and is hard core catholic but she finally is opening up with us, she invited us to eat with them and their family. Great family, the older uncle that came was a typical hardcore catholic and had some questions but it was all a conversation no bashing which is awesome. but they are gradually softening their hearts. but we also met this women, older black lady named ms. Helen! She is in her 70s but she is hilarious, she is straight gangster! she was telling us about her past stories lol, so funny and she thought we were insurance sales men the whole time but she found out at the end we were missionaries, lol she calls us her babies lol! super cool woman. she even has spinner rims lol! funny. but thanks ya'll for all the love and support!

Hard Work Pays Off!

Finally starting to see a little bit of the fruit of my labor! The lord has been blessing my companion and I with a ton of teaching opportunity and we ran into a lady that has us call her Ms. Thompson, She is super golden! She has told us that she grew up around Mormons and they had a light that glew from them, after our lesson she told us she really thinks this is for her, only time and the lord can tell her if its the right thing to do but she is sincerely praying to heavenly father about this. Super cool to see this come from her! She has 2 kids and she really wants them to grow up in a good life, so this gospel will really help. If its the lords will, this will work out:) This gospel is just so awesome! Im so thankful for the Atonement and for the power to change from it! It truly is a blessing! But i appreciate all the love and support i get from yall! Talk to yall next week:)

Training!

It was a great week! Work is starting to pick up! Went and picked up my son, (Greenie)! His name is Elder Cowart, he was born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia, He went to Utah for a year to become active in the church because he was baptized in 2011, He has a similar story to mine, but he decided to come out and serve the lord because he has seen what a blessing it was to him!  The first day we hit the streets and went tracting and ran into a dude named Antonio! Solid guy! We will be meeting with him again soon! We also ran into 5 others who we have schedule appointments with! super sick! Hope it all works out! Every thursday we play ball up at our church and invite Investigators, and really anyone who wants to come, and this last week we had 15 homeboys show up! It was so sick! I even got dunked on!  lol but It has been a great week! Love and miss yall!

Training!

Closing in on the end of the transfer, Elder Cannon is getting ready to head home, I will be training a new missionary! It went by fast! Crazy that im 6 months out, but i have alot to do and alot more experiences to come! But this week was really good, kinda crazy, Bill a man that we go visit and help out of bed because he is bigger, (630 pounds) He passed on this week, i was on a trade off in troy, and Elder Cannon, went to go help him out of his bed and he didnt look good and they called 911, and later on that day he passed on. It was crazy! But when i was on a trade of up in troy with Elder Wood, we went to a lesson they had planned, It was a older lady that was about 4'6, she was small! but it started out with bashing! it was crazy, she thought what they taught her in the passed, was that we worship joesph smith, I was super confused and tried so hard to explain to her, the Elder i was with was brand new out in the field so he was confused, but i had a feeling to just offer a prayer and invite the spirit because it was not going the way we wanted it and was trying to make it go, but i offered the prayer and it was crazy, instantly the tension died down, and we were able to teach, well after the lesson she came to us and thanked us for not giving up on her and she embraces us both, it was really a tender experience, It really boosted up my testimony in prayer, but thats all for this week, many more adventures to come next week! Thank yall for everything yall have done for me! Love yall big! Have a great week!
